So the Sapa forums have been suspended, right in the middle of the pay vote? What a cowardly final move, good riddance tomorrow.

Great way for the current boy scout leader to leave. Shut the forums down cause all the Boy Scouts got offended and went crying home to daddy. I'm sure management told them to do it so the no voters wouldn't sway the koolaid drinkers. SGU likes to bury everything. Just like they buried the stall that got them spanked by the FAA.

After talking with our new pres, I understand why the forums were taken down. It's messed up that some of our group did what they did to another pilot.

I just got off the phone with Russ and if you want to hear it call him. To put it short in one of the typica heated arguments on the sapa forums someone posted a pilots personal address etc to intimidate said person. And the pilot felt things went too far and contacted sapa for help. The Thread was deleted and the information was reposted And then deleted again. The reps agreed that they don't have the time to deal with the constant monitoring and the endless drama it's not worth it anymore. Call Russ if you want an explanation.

Sounds like an excuse. Ban the problem poster if there is a problem.
I think what they don't like is that 99% of the post are against the current pay proposal. Seeing how we're mid vote I think they're afraid the pilots that haven't made up their mind will be influenced by it.

Supposedly the guy started a thread stating how great awesome etc etc the new package was to vote on it and how people shouldn't be all up in arms about it. Someone did a little google searching of the guy and found out through all easily available means that he owns a 4 million dollar mansion in Aspen... I can see why people were mad that a person owning a mansion would come online and tell people to vote yes saying it was a great offer.

I'm just saying I agree some people took things a tad too far and if that pilot felt threatened I understand. Now the other stuff where the voting for new hires changed allowing them to stack the box in favor of new hires wanting that raise is messed up.
Maybe in the big picture this is better where if we as a pilot group want something done better we have to do it ourselves like "the pipe".

Even if he did own a mansion should we really care? We have discounted the "other voters" before and did it in a more civil means. Wish it was done differently but I kinda understand. But as always communication about why it accord for those that only saw threads disappear just breads distrust to the already growing issues within sapa.
