nope. Repubs tried it when they owned frontier, and were denied. Hence why they kept the (3?) Lynx airplanes and certificate around for a while before they cancelled it. Single engine performance on the Q400 and CR7 are the only airplanes that are approved/make sense for airlines i believe. I've also heard that the FAA is not approving any more airlines for ASE service, so unless you already fly there, you're not gonna.....

I just got a class date and filled out the online form for them to set up my travel and hotel. I'm a little confused though. It has a drop down menu to select the Skywest airport I would depart from. So I have to get myself to one of their airports? The positive spaced me out for the interview from the nearest largest airport, but now I have to drive 8-10 hours to get to one of theirs? I sure hope not!

That may be true once a domicile is assigned, but for a new hire?
Hey to the new person in that situation - First: Welcome aboard! Second: Have you heard they need pilots? Give your recruiter contact a call and see what can be done... never hurts to ask... especially when they need pilots.

Another new hire question(s)....
A few days before me leaving for my class date today I get a email from new hire employment asking me to create an account, log on, fill out a some forms or such and take a on-line training something or another, which all has to be done 4 days before my class date. Now that's a challenge. It also has to be Windows platform with Internet Explorer. Basically no one in my area uses that anymore. So I have to make arrangements to go to a friends office to do this. I need to budget my and their time, over a holiday weekend, for doing this. Since I can't register I can't see what this is all about. So, does anyone know what this consists of, and how long does it take?, including the on-line training, whatever that is.
Also, once on the property will my Apple lap top with Chrome- Safari- Firefox work or will doing company e business be all PC?

You can do everything on your Mac. The company is very windows-centric, but everything work fine. You have to use a browser with flash support to do the cbt training on an iPad.
