I want our profession to stop thinking this way. We are working in a era of record profits. Our petty contracts that we are making incremental increases from were negotiated after airline bankruptcies, 9/11, etc. We are doing the exact same job as mainline pilots, they have NEGOTIATED huge pay increases in recent times. We have been brainwashed to stay "cost competitive".
Embarrassing.
Embarrassing.
Nearly 2/3 voted yes & while almost every other regional airline is taking concessions for airplanes, we did not. At the end of the day, we are at a regional airline in order to be truly compensated like you really want, should and need to be we would have to go to a major.
Get in and get out.
Get in and get out.
We are just all too eager to subsidize mainlines operating costs....

I was a Captain at a 135 carrier for I came to Skywest and apply to every and I mean every major out there..and nada. At the end of the day sir, the majors are hiring pilots with 121 and military and some 135 jet time.
So check yourself young man.

Don't blame the SKW pilot group, the company voted the graveyard, eeer I mean the new-hires.
SAPA did a backdoor vote in May after the first pay package failed so as to allow new-hires to vote this time around. That's about 600 peeps who were looking at a massive pay-raise, all for twenty seconds of their time to check a box and click submit on the interwebs. I'll bet 99% voted, and 99% of them voted yes.
There's a reason NOBODY else in this freakin industry allows newhires to vote.
Ok, later. Off to airline apps now.

Sorry if it's already been posted but does anyone have bullet point specifics of the agreement? I went back about ten pages but couldn't find any.

Most people I've talked to are pretty happy, and yes the increase in first year pay is attractive to a potential applicant.

Who administers the vote?
Air Wisconsin, horizon, xjt, and Asa off the top of my head.

Get in and get out.
Why does it have to be mutually exclusive? Why can't the ones who get in and get out also try to make it better?
