Probably enjoying his summer. Like I was last week. It was nice to be away from everything, but I did miss the whole picture scandal.

I'm going to log off now and go search for my 4 million dollar home I can purchase with this new pay package. Oh wait, that is management that can afford that after locking us into a crappy package for 3 years. Good thing nobody listened to the earnings call where they bragged about how much more flying they are able to suck out of us pilots. Good thing we locked in that E175 at the CRJ 700 rate. Hopefully in 3 years I will have the ability to help the company again after the record profits we make. Or is 3 years when we are finally going to be able to "get paid" Or will we want to "raise the bar" with some little gains and hope the next pay package will be the one??

Obviously I believe everyone deserved a raise, but c'mon. First year pay needed to be fixed. I didn't think this agreement gave the rest of the pilot group enough but I'm happy that first year pay came up. It's ridiculous that people with bachelors degrees and years of job experience as CFIs had to work for $19-22/hour in the recent past. I'm glad that's over at Skywest.

I hated the people who said "I paid my dues so you should have to" when I was in training. Now that I've been at the regionals for a while and have paid my dues I still hate people who tell others below me that they should be paying their dues. I'll never say it to another pilot. Lets fix this profession.

I'll say it again, but pilots will never be happy. You could give each person 1 million and someone would ***** and say they deserved 1.2. This deal is better then 2/3 of the other regionals. Most other regionals are giving up planes, routes, and even days off. That didnt happen here. Pay went up, while admittedly not enough to keep up with inflation, but show me the last few airlines where it does! It's not great, it's good though and it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Interesting that not one SAPA rep or financial wizard can tell us what the PPS will pay out or would have paid out. Smoke and mirrors by design?

Well, so far this year, SkyWest Airlines has posted $78.5M in profit. If Inc wants to buy stock with that money, that's fine, but it shouldn't be excluded from the airlines' profit because its Inc's expenditure. Anyways, 6% of that would be $4,710,000 to be split up amongst roughly 3,500 pilots in weighted shares blah blah blah. Average bonus would be $1,345.

I thought someone on the SAPA forums had figured a bonus of around $1300for FOs and $1800 for CAs if you credited 500 hours in the first two quarters?? Maybe that was just based on the guaranteed minimum?

I can't wait to see AWAC's new TA... An airline with an already better contract and a future not nearly as promising as ours.

"As far as we know, vacation and user hours count for PPS"

Really? "As far as we know"? Nobody thought to resolve that during negotiations??? SAPA is engaging the company to work out the specifics... Really??? AFTER the vote??? I can save SAPA the trouble of asking because I can pretty much tell them what the company is going to say...
