I'm not real good at math but, wouldn't a 2.5 year upgrade require skywest hiring 60 a month for 2.5 years. What's the average class size been for the last 2 years?

2.5 years will be a reality, but it will be into reserve, and anyone who has done reserve at SKYW for mor than a few months will do anything to avoid it again, including upgrade. It will have you wanting to gnaw a limb off to get away, including downgrade.

Wouldn't agree if it's reserve and you live in base... Commuting to reserve yes...

Is it still possible to get ORD 175 Initially? Interested in coming over, already typed and commuting to ORD would be a breeze compared to my current one.

Pretty much all new hires on the E175 go to ORD.

I bid reserve for three years and lived in base. It wasn't bad at all, but when they went to the new reserve rules I was out. How SAPA let that happen I cannot understand. Reserve was not good before and now it is the arm pit of the industry.

I figured that much. I was more asking what are the chances for a newhire to get ERJ ORD vs CRJ ORD? Is it a bid system on the first day, randomly assigned for each class? Etc. Thanks!

Which new reserve rules are you talking about? The buckets where we gave up seniority or the OBR where we gave up even more seniority? I was in base reserve for 3.5 years and barely made it on reserve until I held a line. If I was commuting, I wouldn't still be here.

Last update I saw they were running 2 classes per month for ERJ and 1 for CRJ. So I would think you would be able to choose the ERJ. Plus I think we need more ERJ because we lose a bunch to other places as soon as they are out of training.

Right now every 2 weeks an ERJ class starts. New hires are being told that Nov. or Dec. classes are the next available. They recently opened up 3-5 more slots for the Sep. 1 and Sep. 17 classes. The hold up is on the Sim side
