TDY=Temporary Duty Assignment.

You're sent to sit in a hotel and you are reserve in that domicile for the duration, usually 4 days.

What about monthly TDYs?

Can you volunteer to be the first selected for TDY?

You can get temporarily transferred to backfill those out on MIL/FMLA (rarely happens) but no month long TDYs. You can have CS tag that you're willing to be TDY’d but it doesn't matter much since CS marches to the beat of their own drum or should I say to the beat of Anita's stick.

I didn't know you could volunteer for it. How do you do that? Just call them and tell them I'm willing? I like the TDYs because usually it's easier for me to get home and I'm sitting in a nice hotel instead of a crash pad.

Yes, call CS and ask for your profile to be tagged as willing to be TDY'd. Also remember that CS doesn't do the TDYing, there is a TDY desk, get their direct number and ONLY deal with them. Your chances will greatly increase if you get to know the TDY desk people; and remember, if you scratch their back they'll expect you to scratch your own as well. lol

Being TDY'd is great; 24/7 per diem, nice hotel and the 3:57/day counts toward breaking guarantee since it’s considered a trip/assignment.

Any more Q's just PM me, the knowledge must be spread in order to minimalize Anita's cruelty and abuse of us.

Inc. owns XJT which is affiliated with ALPA. Why is that strange? It would probably be stranger if they didn't try to work with ALPA.
