175 or CRJ. CRJ gets Delta and Untied, possibly one more airline depending on where you're based. 175 gets United and Alaska (?).

3.5 years and falling. I wouldn't be surprised if 2013 hires saw upgrade in the next 6 months.

I think if you're breathing and a decent person with a workable background you'll be hired.

What better option is there right now?
It will be a while before upgrade gets to 3.5 years. Just like the last few bids it went down once and then went back up after everyone put their bids in. There are a lot of senior FOs just waiting till they can hold a line before upgrade.

Default Discounted flights?

Quick question.

Can you get a discounted ticket price for United if you wanted a guaranteed ticket as opposed to non-reving?

No. That is a mainline UAL benefit. I'm sure someone will try to contradict me that SkyNet will let you purchase it so it's possible, but I know an FA who got caught using it and lost her UAL bennies.

Thanks a lot for the information. From the sounds of it non reving on United is next to impossible so I was wondering if there was another option.

Family members will have better luck with DAL nonrev, or ID90's on SWAs.

Pilots can easily JS anywhere on personal travel, it's the family that has a rough time. Don't send your family on UAL domestic (international is fine if loads are good).

The travel department was the one who told me how to utilize it. If it's there I would like to know how you feel we could get punished for it?
