Skywest

This is specific to my knowledge at SkyWest, but really applies anywhere: DON'T show up in khakis, expect to not have a sim check because you fly the XYZ currently, say "oh, I don't know Jepp, I only use NOS/whatever", and be ignorant of piddly things like airspace rules. When they ask you not to discuss your interview segments with your fellow candidates, don't. Talk about baseball, movies, kids, where you're from, anything else but what they just asked you in the other room. Turn your cell phone OFF except for during your lunch break. And I cannot stress this enough, like coming in a suit (even for women), coming prepared is essential; it is about dressing and acting the way you would out on the line and shows you actually want the job. It's weird that this would have to be emphasized, but I've seen and heard some insane things at the hangar when it comes to interviews.
By the time we begin interviewing, we'll probably have the training department in full swing, so if you get to interview and there are classes going on, don't be afraid to chat up current trainees if you get the chance. By and large we have a really good group of friendly people here, and this place is worth the effort.

No pressure or anything.
I really enjoyed my interview as well. Allot more than I thought I would. It also really got me hooked on this company.

I believe it was Dave F., great guy to fly with but I'd say that's the norm here rather than the exception. Come to think of it I haven't flown with anyone here that I'd bid avoid, they're all pretty solid people!

It is PIC sole-man. Which is fantastic. And what makes the decision so very difficult for me. However there are equal pro's and con's to either path. It's complicated for me. The contract is quite expensive as it was for a Flight Safety initial/135.293 a and b with a .97 check. Also includes the 6 month .97. So if I bought out even at t minus 5 months all of my Skywest savings for the first year expenses would be blown. There are other complications as well some good and some bad.
