Skywest

Currently SkyWest has only announced ORD as a pilot domicile for the E175 but over time we expect pilot domiciles to open further west. It will be awhile before any new hires are placed into it. Especially if the pay rates come out and are equal to the -900 with no BHO, which is what we are expecting. If this happens you'll see more Sr FO's bid over once the pay, hubs, routes and seniority becomes clearer.
For now just focus on getting hired if you're not already here. Once on the list it's just a matter of time until you can bid over.

If the EMB-175 get's the same pay rate as the 900 without bho I will be downgrading into it.

Still a pay raise but not the pay rate we probably deserve for it.

Our VP of Flight Ops (KB) mentioned two other cities the E-175 will HUB out of but will not be pilot domiciles. I can't find the memo that mentions them but I believe the other cities were DEN and SFO; I'm not 100% sure if these are correct. Someone else might remember more clearly, regardless I expect these E-175 HUBs to turn into pilot domiciles at some point.

I'm not sure if that's what we're expecting. I tried asking around the training center and the rumor there was 200 rate with a 900 BHO. I flew with a captain who was a SAPA rep who reluctantly confirmed that something like that was on the table but he said they were fighting it.

I know that's what Mgmts. wanting. They want a base "jet" rate which would cover all jets and then a BHO for the CR7, CR9 and E175. This way all soft time (training, MDG, premium pay, deadheads, etc) gets paid out at the lower rate helping keep cost down. I know RJ very well and they’re pushing hard for firm rates on the E175.

Viper is correct, they are very close. All sections have been agreed upon except 2 and those should be cleared up soon. I'd also expect the vote to take place early next year.
Once the E175 picture becomes clear with higher pay rates and western domiciles I expect the staffing to start to look more senior. Which means new hires probably won't find their way in to the E175 until 2015 at the earliest. If I was a new hire I would request the EMB or CRJ and stay clear of the E175. Reasoning? Simple, if you take the E175 you’ll be on reserve a for a very long time as you watch more senior pilots transition over in front of you bumping you down. Just when you think you’ll hold line a few more senior FO’s will come out of training pushing you back onto reserve. You’ll sit there and watch this happen month after month after month while you get your hopes up for a line just to have them smashed time and time again; this can be very frustrating causing you to become a bit disgruntled as well as cost you a lot of money. Whereas on the E120 or CRJ (especially the E120 since it’s the most JR) your seniority will do nothing but improve as FO’s senior to you transition out to the E175 chasing more $ or an upgrade. You'll also make far more money on the E120 or CRJ since all of our aircraft pay the same first year and you'll hold a line sooner.
QOL is everything and without a doubt your QOL will be best on the E120 for the first year with the CRJ being second. That is unless you live in an RJ domicile forcing you to commute west to the E120; in this case the CRJ would offer a better QOL. In no way can I imagine the E175 offering a better QOL than the CRJ, but many greenhorns are foaming at the mouth with SJS causing them to be blind to these simple facts.
