And what's up with Domicile Vacancy Report showing 0s for every single base and slot? Guess I don't really know how to read those, but if there are 0 vacancies why are they hiring like there's no tomorrow?

Just got out of recurrent this week and every instructor said they've bought sim time in ATL, CVG, and maxed out the SLC sim times. I popped my head in the interview room, and it looked like only 3 were there for interviews that particular day. Just the messenger here.

According to the conference call we are only losing 25 a month (although this month I have moved up 17 spots to date at 4 years), so sim time is for upgrades, transitions or yet to be announced flying which has been speculated on to death. We also have 3 175 simulators coming online, we have about 100 pilots on it right now and will be around 400 with the 40 united planes delivered....that being said the ratio of our CRJ sims to pilots is about 1:500....so lets see what happens. A rumor is always a rumor till something happens..or doesn't.

Have moved up 110 numbers since June as a 08 hire. Still about 200 from the most junior pilot who took upgrade.

This has been quite the month for attrition I'm up about 15 numbers so far. My guess is up about 30 spots by months end.
