But the time at spirit will pay better and have better QOL while you wait.

Also possible (likely, inevitable?) that all of the big three will implement STOPLOSS on SKW pilots when the wheels come off and schedule integrity collapses. Would really suck to be chained to that oar.
Oh Lordy, didn't think about that.

😁

Agreed. Best route would seem to be leave Skywest for a LCC (if you haven’t gotten a call from a major of course) immediately upon reaching 1000 TPIC.

I wouldn't wait too long for that TPIC, but it should be available quickly for everyone.

My friend is an Oct 17 hire and isn’t even the most junior guy in MSP. He was awarded it out of training. My guess is the dates may look skewed from th cadet hire dates.

That's not right. The bottom 3 MSP guys must be cadets. The guy 4 from the bottom started late January. MSP is definitely available before training is finished.

Rock bottom? Spirit has had some of the best work rules for years. Their pay is now right behind Southwest. Define rock bottom.

If it is really that bad than why not leave? Why not become a part of SAPA and try and change things?

This month is the first month Skywest has shrunk in over 4 years. If something is not done soon to right the ship, we will not be able to staff the new planes that are coming this year.
