It depends on what you mean by staffing the airplanes. I think SkyWest could staff all the airplanes they're due this year with the current pilot group; the difference being that ERJ crews will just be flying the same amount as the Eastern CRJ crews. By normal airline standards we are properly staffed on the ERJ side, but as far as OO is concerned we're fat.
Same thing that happened pre 9/11. DAL was hiring too many SKW pilots, so SGU asked them to stop. It slowed to a trickle. I know of one guy whose Dad worked at DAL then... they told him he was in zone for an interview but he would have to quite SKW first. He did, and got hired. But that's pretty ballsy.

I’m very senior.
I’ve been a SAPA rep, been pro pilot group, and yes been threatened about my job status from CC and TG.
I’ve hung my neck out, only to be nearly fired. SkyWest is in a “right to work” state, and can fire for no reason at all, and have many times.
What else do you want from me?
I know of what I write.....
It's a military term for being involuntarily extended. Of course, OO isn't the military, but if they started to flounder and the big three were starting to see their bottom line affected by that, it would not be beyond the realm of possibility for them to put an embargo on hiring people away from OO and work their own flow programs (or off the street from non-OO sources) for new hires rather than hurting their biggest feeder.
A buddy at Horizon swears that when they got into their short staffing and flight curtailment mess last year Alaska stopped taking new hires from Horizon until they started to get better. Don't know, can't say for sure, but there is certainly a theory some believe in that majors won't make things worse for their regional feeds if they get in trouble, and between fewer applicants and longer training with more washouts, a number of regionals are getting pretty tight for manpower. Especially those who pay less well and have cr@ppier QOL.

For schedule, I was just looking for a typical 4 day line, and how much flight time per month roughly you can expect.
ex: day 1= 0600 show, MSP STL MSP ORD MSP CWA release 1730, day 2 etc...
Also wondering how much one fluctuates between 200/700/900. You can pm me or share for others. Either way thanks for the help

Ok, thanks!!! The website say most junior MSP FO is 2/8/18, but wasn't sure if that's accurate or not now. Want MN or WI basing to not commute, so trying to pick Air WI vs Skywest. Basing almost makes or breaks my decision, so if I can't get MSP out of training I can get MKE for sure.

7/900 flying tends to go senior. 200 tends to go junior. Once you get a line, you can expect to block 75-95 hours a month, unless you bid for standups. Credit will be 88-110 a month as a lineholder in MSP. PM me and I can give you some example of schedules.
