I've gotten not 1 but 3 separate PM's from SKW guys apologizing for the 10%ers here in as many days.

Way to represent to a potential new hire who also has an offer from Compass and hasn't made up his mind, Word.

Geez.

They've just made your decision easy. Go to compass.

It's way too close to call "promising". Guess we'll see in a few days.

You sure do a lot of complaining/whining here on APC! I'm curious though, aside from your incessant crying here, what are YOU actually doing to improve things here at skywest? In my experience, the loudest critics are usually the least willing to give their time to actually make a difference!
Keep up the *****ing here and watch as nothing improves, or you could always volunteer, but I doubt that's likely to happen...

Sorry if I struck a nerve. I usually try to keep emotion in check but it seriously is pretty frustrating to see nothing being fixed and even worse that SOME of our SAPA folks don't seem to see a problem.

I have actually applied for quite a few things like RSR and would love to be part of the solution. However, if you look at history it doesn't fair well for those that try to help. There was a certain person who was very vocal on our forums that tried to help from the inside by being a SAPA rep. Didn't seem to work out to well for him. Plus most that do work in SAPA get burned out and quit because they see how much the company really wants to fix things. Or they get the hell out ASAP because they know things will never get better. But sticking your head in the sand and ignoring the problems doesn't do any good either. How would you suggest I make effective change?

I'll try to post more sunshine and rainbows so that I don't come across so negative. Like the good news about our bonuses!! I get to split 6% of the profit with 3,500 of our pilots. See all that extra flying we are picking up and forcing me to fly is paying off!!

You truly are "disillusioned" aren't you?
Well good luck with that!

I interviewed at the begining of Feb and I wasn't ever even asked if I had a preference of airframe. I was just offered a job and then received an email with CRJ study materials. I'm fine with that. I don't want to fly ERJ yet because of what I've heard about reserve times and such.

Plus, the ERJ doesn't even have a decent cupholder. True!

Only because Kelvin designed the awesomely placed EFB holder to take it's place.

So no suggestions on how to be "part of the solution" or do more than just complaining? I seriously would love to hear some suggestions or examples of people who were able to file a PIC or other ways to get things fixed.

I gave you some suggestions. Get involved! Problem is you're already too jaded. I think your best bet is to get out of the industry all together..... You won't be satisfied or happy no matter where you're at. (Even at the ALPA carriers). everybody is out to get you! Especially the SAPA EB!

So I guess everything is just lollipops and candy canes and we should all just chug more Kool-aid?
