You really think that they are all going to American and delta? Delta is scoped out and the 7 that are headed there are replacements. You really think American is going to take the other 46?

I don't anyone could assume that - and neither does the company btw. Anyone not convinced, just read the last earnings call transcript. The company takes a financial hit for early lease terminations of 700s. That wouldn't be necessary if they were spoken for.

There is always a chance to find a home for them but the conservative assumption is that they will go to the desert, China or somewhere else...

We're putting 80 in class a month, trying to get 100 and our recruiting team had literally tripled in the last two months....it's not all for attrition, that's fact, not koolaid

When someone talks about growth just ask them what they know about scope for the majors...

It seems like only 15 of the 50ish UA 700s that are leaving have been accounted for officially.
7 for AA and 8 for DL. Something else I'm missing?

Where have you been? They have been trying to do that for two years now. They kinda started listening to the hiring team again after the trainee stripped when they aske him to leave. Then he locked himself in his hotel room.

They are hiring as many as they can due to the 175's coming online and us losing 60-70 a month.

They better do something cuz all the CRJ guys are getting really tired of the "we need to be more reliable" with ZERO reserves.

Great news for the healthy population of us United pilots fighting for space on 50 seat RJs in/out of St. Louis....I don't think it's been announced by company yet but starting approx 16 August, every day except Saturday sees the resumption of 2 x 737s ORD and 1 x 737 DEN in addition to the previous lone Summer daily mainline 737 to/from SFO. I have to guess that's not just a seasonal "upgauge" starting so late in Summer and it bumps some 75-seaters into 50-seat slots to boot. The things us commuters get excited about heh? Cheers, BK

From the tacked United thread....

This is pretty much what's going to be happening with all the carriers slowly but surely. FWIW that's a somewhat common 175 pairing.

Regardless of whether it is growth or attrition, upward mobility is great at SKYW - at least as good as the next best regional out there and maybe even better.

At the end of the day I don't care why my relative seniority progresses at a rapid pace as long as it does. Hence, I can only recommend SKYW to any new hire.

You obviously haven't been here long.
