I'm pretty sure now that I am going to join the SkyWest team and decline Republic and Envoy offers. I might have a bit of the shiny jet syndrome, but would it be nuts to take the 175 over the crj if I live near ORD? I think I prefer the slightly longer trips compared to the crj. Also, I do have family in Denver which would make training/staying there awesome as opposed to SLC. Any insight on pros/cons of the different equipment and how long to get ORD on each, etc, is appreciated. I saw from a post a few pages back that it looks like about 5 months or so for the 175, but any other info is appreciated. Thanks-it's tough making all of these decisions, but also fun!
Many thanks. |

My buddy in ORD on the E175 has been on reserve for over five months, I would say that it is closer to a year of reserve in Chicago.

There are no flows or guaranteed interviews at SkyWest. ExpressJet may offer the United CPP, but I strongly urge you to do your research about XJT as things there do not look too hot. If you want fast career progression and the CPP as an option, do yourself a favor and look into CommutAir.
