Skywest v2.0

Well I've been here for a little over two years so my couple months on reserve doesn't really tell much for a new hire today. I'm averaging 52 hours a month and that's partly because in Jan and Feb I was buddy bidding a check airman friend of mine, so for those months I flew only about 40 hours. The goal was to get displaced and pick up additional flying to make extra money but that's been impossible since there's zero open time. Since not flying got boring I started bidding normally again and I'm still getting displaced about once a month so there's no way around it... new hires need IOE or consolidation hours and block hours are down for this time of the year. Maybe once summer rolls around things will change but there's no way any of us can tell you definitively what to expect. The only thing that looks to stay constant is the movement on the CRJ and short reserve times, but that could change tomorrow. PM me if you have anymore questions.

Don't choose a company solely for an aircraft. It might sound good now, but you will regret it down the road.

When it comes time to make the move to a legacy/LCC, whether you flew a CRJ or 175 won't matter in getting hired. What will for your sake is the QOL you had while you were at the regionals.
