So how are the new DL 175's being allocated base wise? Evenly between the DL bases or is one base heavy on them?

SEA/SFO/LAX. None of the other DL bases have 175s operated by us.

And this is exactly why we are called "kool-aide" drinkers....

Unless they are suspicious I am chugging 20 Mountain Dews a day to sugar pee myself out of a medical, which may or may not be what I'm doing...

They just called me and said that you can't insure more than you make. This was misinformation spread to get people to sign up. She said they will not pay out more than 67% of what you make on any claim and you have to insure a minimum of $25,200.

Thanks for your response. If you could just drop the insults it would be a lot more helpful. I've had a bid in for PDX and SEA since November. OO is getting an additional 5 jets on the Alaska side and QX is scheduled to start getting deliveries this month. I was at the base meeting and it was relayed to us that OO would be helping with the QX schedules until they were up to speed. I was asking for logistical reasons so I could understand the operation. Never said I was special and I've paid a lot more dues than I care to discuss. I'm new here and like a lot of people would appreciate useful information without the attitude.

The Horizon flying is being done by CRJ crews out of SEA I believe, so no help for PDX ER7 pilots.

Any idea if they are even between those three bases? Just curious how much DL flying is happening at those places.

SAPA is this big of a joke or Harvey Watt ran some numbers and changed the rules.

I dont blame them. A year 2 fo says they make 120k a year and wants10k a month. But only makes 4k... Harvey Watt is used by a lot of reputable airlines.. ive talked to a few of there pilots. Our premiums are cheaper...

I was quoted the same rate as an individual a year before this became available. Sapa leadership repeatedly told everyone they could insure what they wanted. Now HW says that if you claim the minimum and file a claim they pay 67% of actual income but they retro and collect premiums for that amount no matter what you tell them you make.

Simply put, we are overstaffed on the entire West Coast and understaffed elsewhere. As an example, the SFO CRJ side just lost 6 crews to transfers out, with no replacements. Transfers into Western bases have pretty much stopped, as have upgrades. Even super, super senior guys are not able to upgrade or transfer -- I think we have a 15-year FO who can't get an upgrade in SFO or LAX.

We're also seeing an increase in 4 day trips for West Coasters as the overstaffed West Coast crews are flowed to Midwest bases to cover that flying.

It's anyone's guess how long this will last. For now, anyone wanting a West Coast base had better be prepared to wait a while...

Any idea how much reserves in the junior bases are flying/crediting? (MSP,ORD,DTW)

Lots of flying in all 3, msp being a little slower than ord/dtw. Currently theres no reserve in ord. You'll break guarantee most months especially summer but always budget for minimum on reserve.
