So basically we were lied to the entire time SAPA was selling this "benefit" Nice.

And also, I think it's still pretty ridiculous we don't even have an actual policy we can review.

Keep up the good work SAPA.

Which is why I didn't sign up. SAPA telling people to put in how ever much money they wanted to be covered on regardless of their income couldn't have been correct. It only showed how poorly RJ understood the plan or what he was selling. Why would an insurance company insure someone who wants to be insured for more or less then they actually make.

Just shows how useless they are. BH should have won, but the lifers wouldn't allow it.

I'm guessing you are commuting from PDX from a west coast domicile and feel that is unjust. You couldn't be more incorrect as others have commuted from ORD, MSP, DTW on RSV until they got the base they want... Heads up you aren't special. I know many E175 guys who commuted for a year before they were able to hold SEA, DEN, SFO, LAX. If anything you could have held SEA on this vacancy and had an easy commute...

You will get PDX when your seniority holds it and there is a vacancy. Also horizon is getting those jets as they have a contract for them. If you were at the company long enough you would see that PDX is positive reserve coverage everyday this month, which is not how OO operates. They like running it lean. Look at RSV coverage in SEA, LAX, DEN, SFO and it's all negative. Until PDX is understaffed there will not be a vacancy.

My advice stop acting entitled as eventually you will be PDX based, and this is a part of the job.

Thanks for your response. If you could just drop the insults it would be a lot more helpful. I've had a bid in for PDX and SEA since November. OO is getting an additional 5 jets on the Alaska side and QX is scheduled to start getting deliveries this month. I was at the base meeting and it was relayed to us that OO would be helping with the QX schedules until they were up to speed. I was asking for logistical reasons so I could understand the operation. Never said I was special and I've paid a lot more dues than I care to discuss. I'm new here and like a lot of people would appreciate useful information without the attitude.

Allow me to elaborate, ~2.5'ish years ago the junior FO in PDX had been with the company something like 4-5 years. It's doubtful you'll get much sympathy for "interviewing a year ago".

In all seriousness there are so many moving pieces anyone who tells you something staffing wise is "going to happen next month" is just guessing. Just because more flights are happening out of PDX does not mean they'll be flown by PDX crews. High reserve levels suggest the base could be already staffed. SEA was overstaffed a few months back and they reduced the total compliment by something like 20-30 bodies a month after awarding a ton of people the domicile. That should tell you how fluid this entire thing is.

Thank you! That's a helpful explanation. Not looking for sympathy, just trying to understand.

So your jumping a guys a** because he got sold a bill of goods from someone at Skywest? It wouldn't be the first time they promised something they didn't deliver. You sound like a company surrogate.

They are blocking foreign IP's now, so I guess that's your issue.

Any idea how much reserves in the junior bases are flying/crediting? (MSP,ORD,DTW)

Ok so this Harvey Wyatt thing, if I'm paying x per month to insure myself for the y income I chose, what exactly is the relevance of my gross salary from the company Harvey Wyatt apparently has no official communication with?

Unless they are suspicious I am chugging 20 Mountain Dews a day to sugar pee myself out of a medical, which may or may not be what I'm doing...

So how are the new DL 175's being allocated base wise? Evenly between the DL bases or is one base heavy on them?
