Not anymore. They changed the policy and no CJOs on the day of interview. Has to go through St George HR first.

Question, if you are offered the job at the interview but have several interviews lined up and haven't made a decision yet on where to work, is there a time frame on that offer? Or is it a take it or leave it type of offer?

The offers are typically good for a long while, I've heard one year. Idk the specifics of skw. Talk to your recruiter, and find out if you got it and that information.

What's the reason behind that?

Probably the obvious reason...

They had people in class who failed background checks, or were woefully not up to the task. Risk to the company is that yeah they can fire you for any reason or no reason, but somebody who gave up another job and the got canned could sue for any reason or no reason. And a jury would probably like their reason better than SKW not doing their homework before making a job offer.

I'm talking about applicants who were honest. If they lie, there's no problem firing them of course.

This would be a logical way to do it, but not how it's being done. From my recent CJO:

We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected for employment as a first officer in the Embraer 175 with SkyWest Airlines. This offer is conditional, subject to the successful completion of your background check (and DOJ clearance – if applicable).

That would be abnormal, unless times have changed.
FEDEX used to deliver the message.
Then email was the go to CJO vehicle.

Patience.

6 months typically before they will want to reinterview you before you go to class.

People comparing notes going out the door who got it who didn't, there was also a incident where the applicant didn't take news well
