Alaska: SAN to BOI, AUS, DAL, FAT, OMA, SLC, SMF, SJC, HDN.
Through DAL, Alaska E175s will fly to LGA, PDX, SJC, SAN, and DCA.

Delta: SAN-LAX right now 1 x per day, but by mid summer it'll be 4x per day. (Currently compass does 4 times but will be down to once per day). The switch happens 12 June.
According to Deltanet
Compass departures out of SAN:
May - 179
Jun - 124
Jul - 89

Skywest departures out of SAN (not counting CR7/9):
May - 31
Jun - 136
Jul - 199
AK is turning SAN into a mini-hub/focus city. Plus there's the usual UA/DL/AA outstation flying, everybody goes to SAN.

And this has nothing zip zero to do with SAPA or any contract negotiations (some SAPA types like to create the impression that good things are somehow linked to them in some fashion).

I know nothing about any other bases.

Also LAX and SAN-MEX starts this fall. Just approved.. i bet they are shifting the focus of QX to SEA -North. and OO to PDX-south. Routes change airlines all the time.. look at DTW/ATL for OO. Bet they are working with Alaska to maximize efficiency for both OO and QX. and that includes OO doing a vast majority of the SAN flying.

Unless there are some new aircraft coming that we don't know about any new base would just be shifting flying from our current ones and a reduction in those places. Great if you are in or want SAN but might be bad if you want SEA or PDX. Would really suck if they forced you out of those places.

And for my own little rumor. SLC to lose 50 lines of flying. 7/900s moving back east.

An ATL base with these additional 200s would make sense. Perhaps even just a small domicile with some reserves.

Horizon will still get a big chunk of SAN flying for Alaska.

They will fly from SAN to:
ABQ
MCI
MSP
MRY
STL
STS
FAT
MMH
SMF

I don't know why virtual domiciles aren't targeted by company as easy qol-cuffs.
They would be lines (not pbs) of locals and two days.

I'm guessing reserves wouldn't really be an issue. If I was a commuter and company came out with this I'd pick up my phone and help out to make sure my driving to work continued.

We've had a maintenance base there for several years+. There hasn't been any mention of a pilot domicile. I think it would be a good place to have one though. I've always liked the area.

And 2 months ago ASA was doing 90% of the CRJ 200 flying in ATL. (By 2018 they will do none, all 9E/OO) Routes change airlines all the time..

Careful what you wish for...

In addition to the reserve issue, virtual domiciles seriously dilute both the available pairings at the hub, and the flexibility to construct efficient pairings.

I'm not sure whether my QOL would be better with a virtual domicile at home, where I'd have very little schedule choice, vs a modest commute to a hub with a diverse selection of quality trips.

And if I lived in a hub, I sure wouldn't want my pairing pool getting diluted.

Virtual domiciles would certainly provide a great benefit to a tiny handful of very senior commuters who live in select outstations. The benefit to everybody else is highly questionable.
