For clarity, the 15 announced today do not have a base. Ord will initially crew the 15 70 seat 175s announced last month. Ord being delivered in March while these mid-summer 2018.

It is getting very confusing.

An Ord delta 175 base could make the western bases go even more junior.
Many have held out from transitioning due to Delta bennies.

If you simply want to know when the associated Captain slots will be awarded, about two to three months in advance.
Got it- thank you.

Not to mention the AS birds have already started arriving and we don't yet know where they will be based.

They said PDX/SEA in the announcement for these “quick” 5. The other 10 not sure where yet.. but based off the build up of the BOI base they may be crewed out of there..

Read it again. PDX/SEA is for the previously announced birds. None of the planes announced today have "homes" yet.

With 45 E175 aircraft coming in 2017-2018 plus the 200’s we are taking on (dont have exact count but im guessing 20) and upgrade times are 1.7 year already. Upgrade times are going to drop to Newhires with the TT/121 time. I know a few 1.7-2 year guys that have 600 hrs to go before qualifying for Upgrade... The Short course for anyone with a CRJ type is starting soon.. Interesting times..

If FO's are getting bypassed for lack of TT/121 time, it's not as if those junior to them will likely have the requisite hours either. Meaning only prior 121 (with some exceptions) in the seniority range of #3000 and above will be upgrading. I'm in the 3800's for example and only have 125hrs!! It will get interesting, unless significant numbers of senior FO's, that are currently enjoying the qol, have a change in heart and take the upgrade.

I'm also glad to see a balancing of the fleet of ERJ vs CRJ, which could mean ERJ CA slots won't all be extremely senior compared to CRJ in the future. It goes without saying, the nice thing about new orders and attrition and low time upgrades in the CRJ is it creates movement and opportunities system-wide. It's also nice to have options and flexibility, the reason I came here in fact.

I think we missed on the big -900 deal. The good news is that the 175 is a way nicer plane to fly. Come on over.
