I understand that new hires are
Double occupancy in training.....is this a suite with 2 separate bedrooms? I’m also curious as to the choosing of sim partners......do you pick or does Skywest do that for you?

Separate bathrooms. As a former corporate guy I imagined double occupancy was going to be horrible, but it wasn’t bad.
Captains in transition training picks sim partner, based on seniority.

Could I guy expect to sit
Reserve 175 in Sfo or Boi? I know this is a very dynamic
And ever changing variable. Thanks again

If there are any people here looking at this thread to see what to expect at a regional or Skywest, now you know. A bunch of pansies getting their knickers in a twist over stupid stuff and trying to say a 1% raise is more than a 1% raise because they add in other “stuff” that won’t count. And they think it counts. Pity more people here won’t educate themselves. That’s why nobody gets paid a decent salary at a regional. Apathy. ESPECIALLY at Skywest. We have the worlds most apathetic group who don’t want to know anything. Sad.

Yep, was only at Compass for a week when we found out
That my wife’s job was going to keep us in Sacramento with a possible transfer to Boise. She is the bread winner in the family and therefore for quality of life reasons I decided that Skywest would be the better option. I haven’t interviewed yet with Skywest, hell, maybe they wouldn’t even hire me with knowing the fact that I left in the first week at Compass.

I have nothing but good things to say about Compass......in the end it came down to commuting vs not commuting. We were fairly certain that we were moving to Phx, then that got squashed. Living in Sac I could drive to work and with a possible relocate in a year to Boise it just made sense. Perhaps I will be kicking myself soon.....who knows

Well he has a point. It must be pretty frustrating working for a company when over half of the group is content with subpar gains when the rest of the industry is making significant gains. Not to mention the slow erosion of quality quality of life issues
