The answer to original question, “Upgrade times,” is til kingdom come. At least not to a base that doesn’t take a month to get to and from, with multiple hotels on either side. I’ll just forgo the expensive girlfriend for now. Oh darn I forgot, I’m married, it’s expensive regardless!

EXTO is a half pay program that the “company” (cough…SWAPA) came up with to help save money during covid. Guys were able to take up to 5 years (pending recovery). All captains have been recalled and 500 FO’s haven’t been yet. Current thoughts are that they will soon. If the above is true, we should be hearing about their requal training soon.

I can't imagine the training center could handle more than about 1000 pilots per year but who knows? That would be full initials too which I don't believe the EXTOS will need.

I thought a full initial was after out longer than 24 months. Nobody has been out that long so I think it's the 8 day course.
