K. That's the thing I wanted to clear up. Current employer is ok with beards. Sounds like SW is int eh clean shaven crowd... Time to break out the razor.

In other parts of the world, including Europe, neatly groomed beards are allowed. I assume they have to be trimmed to permit proper O2 mask functionality.

Who said it was a major airline? Haven't shaved more than once a week in decades, so it'll be an adjustment if SW picks me up.

You asked about SWA, so I asked about other comparable companies. I don't know everyones policy, I just assumed the United, Deltas and Americans all had facial hair policy in place.

Here at the SW Air Force, we frown on beards. I mean how are we going to get the full F15 mask on if they suddenly buy some of those sweet machines for us?!? Jeez...

I thought UAL went with a standard grooming policy for ALL employees.

Update: just looked into this. No word on facial hair.
