How does it work for months with multiple classes? In March, I believe there are 3. Do they award bases monthly, where the first class of march would be in the top 50/180? Or would they award domiciles for each class with the same effective date, say 6/1/22?

You will bid with your seniority like every other pilot. It’s not that domiciles are assigned to a class… it’s that when you are eligible for a vacancy bid (which is dependent upon when you are scheduled to finish training), you bid. You will be awarded whatever your seniority can hold when they get to your number.

The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy. It's that I just don't care.

Default Application Window

Hi,
Is SW still going the application window route?
If so, how does one find out when that would be?

Thanks!

Yes and it was just open last week. You'll find out be checking the website, networking with people who are also looking, and forums like this.

First year vacation:
1- how much vacation time do you get year one?
2- If I was a new hire with a planned previous vacation is there any unpaid personal time approved by chief pilots?
3- how much sick time per month do we build?

1. Pro-rated depending on how long you're here....less than a week if hired now. You get 2 weeks your 2nd yr.
2. Yes...tell your chief and if you can't trade/give it away, they can give you leave without pay for your trip....or call in sick (literally what my ACP told me to do in one of my Probie meetings)
3. Basically 10% of your trip total. Credit 100 trips, get 10 in your sick bank. So the first few months suck if you don't have anything in your bank and are sick...basically unpaid.
