Can someone convert a TFP into the equivalent of an hour.
Tried searching but I ran out of time.
Trying to figure out what a typical 3 day trip pays at SWA as compared to AA.
For some reason AA is hesitant to make many trips that pay more than 16 hrs on a 3 day and that is usually coupled with a short overnight.
Trying to figure apples and oranges for a point of reference.
Thanks.

Generally accepted conversion is 1 hour = 1.149 TFP.

Our 3 day trip min guarantee pays 19.5 TFP which comes out to be 16.97 hours, basically 6.5 TFP per day. Most 3 days are in the 20-22 TFP range these days

With many 24+ TFP. Nowadays it’s easy to swap into more productive trips. I’m even seeing many 4-days that are 34+ TFP.

As far as narrowbody schedules at AA, there’s no comparison to SWA. SWA is far more productive.

As compared to the 737 or 320 at UAL, DAL, or AA, a pilot at SWA can probably work 2-3 less days to credit the same amount because our trips are so productive.

Our operation is also a disaster which leads to many reroutes etc which create more pay for more pain. So there is that.

Yep. Getting ready to fly a 3 day trip with 12 legs and short overnights with a high avoidance bid captain (maybe not number one, but definitely in the top 3).

Premium is a hell of a drug.
