Maybe not farting in our seat just might be good enough?

No tension whatsoever... you might get ribbed a little, but all in good fun.

Seriously?
Pilot: "Yeah, we got slow and I had to say something or we were gonna stall" (embellishment)
Karen Husband: "What??? Were we gonna die??"
Pilot: "If they didn't catch the error, it wouldn't be pretty."
Karen Husband: "OMG OMG OMG... these pilots weren't safe!! I'm calling the FAA."
Pilot: "Naw, don't do that. It's all good. It happens.
Karen Husband: "But we could have died!!!"
Pilot: "Ughhhhh..... sorry I told you."
Karen Husband: https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=Report+unsafe+pilots
Karen Husband: "Yes Mr. FAA.... I was just the passenger on SWA flight XXX and we almost died as the plane almost stalled if it wasn't for my wife who was in the cockpit jumpseat. Those pilots almost killed us all if it wasn't for my sweetheart...."
You really think some version of this is that far-fetched?

As I said, I feel bad for how this person, alleged or not, is being treated, but that doesn't excuse the person's actions. If the conversation happened like that between me and my wife, I wouldn't just let it go at "ugh sorry I told you". Furthermore, I wouldn't have found out about my wife's call from the Jumpseat committee, the faa would have called me first as the person who witnessed the incident.

Like the others have said, you'll have no issues, especially now that the most of the pilot group knows the guilty party's name.

Yes, seriously. Your dialogue is completely divorced from reality on both the level of what the lay public understands and how couples react to each other's statements.

And once again, not one of you can tell me WHAT you, as an airline pilot ,would report to the FAA in this case.
I find it sad that so many are willing to burn a pilot squarely based on hearsay. I’ll wait to get more info before condemning a pilot.

So everyone is or should be like you and your wife? You know every couple’s dynamics and relations?
And once again, not one of you can tell me WHAT you, as an airline pilot ,would report to the FAA in this case.
