My wants were exceeded in the last contract. Seat assignment on a deadhead would have been number 347 in my 350 want list.
While “maybe” SWAPA should have negotiated harder for it, seat selection on a dead head is not something that I would have wanted to give up anything for last time around.
It is certainly in the company’s and our passengers best interest to make an acceptable accommodation on the topic. However, if history is any teacher, nothing will happen and it will be a hot topic on the 2033 contract vote.

Regarding open time... Maybe since we're not currently in section six, swapa can remind "us" that we don't need to solve the manning and horrible schedule problems. Especially in light of the fact that simple language is being ignored that will put us in back, middle seats on deadheads. And has been said, even bottom of the barrel regionals don't get treated this way. This is what they really think of us.

Like it not , you have to give credit the the SWAPA scheduling chair . He is setting himself up nicely to get a HQ job when he is done flying. In the meantime doing what he has to do to make himself look good in the company eyes. He is able to do all of this with SWAPA Blessing, even to the point of SWAPA putting out how awesome a job he is doing. You could not make this shi### up if you tried .
