I’ll never really recommend flow or cadet programs, but it is great to see we are honoring ours and we weren’t telling people to just shove it when we paused hiring. For a while there it was just 225 people getting added to our seniority list. Was under a UA flow program at da regionals and they’d change requirements retroactively and deny people with clean records just to keep them flying RJs. We don’t have that program.

Non ab-initio have to deal with market forces (hiring, no hiring, recessions, Covid, etc). No reason 225 guys should get a fast pass over someone who made it to the front of the line sooner.

I don’t think you should prioritize one over the other. Should go by the date at which you were offered the job -or- hit whatever the experience trigger to qualify for flow is.

I never said they should prioritize anyone over anything my dude if you read what I said, I was just saying 225 is one of the few programs that really honors what they tell participants having been in something similar myself. Frankly someone who bases their entire career path on ending up here and jumped through hoops to do so is a more reliable hire than the 500 hour wonders from Republic who would leave 6 months in (not that we’re hiring that type anymore). CJO in any form they should be honoring, was terrible they pulled them from people who were waiting including people I personally know.

You said “like they’ve been doing”. They prioritized 225 over people who’d been sitting in the pool for well over a year. Yeah, they should honor their commitments…to everyone. If I’m waiting for a class…don’t pass me over because a 225 guy suddenly hit the hours needed to flow over. You put the 225 guy in the pool with everyone else in order in which they’re added. I agree with you the CJO Indian giving was BS. We’re prob saying the same thing.

I said it in another thread, but with us hiring again, I can guarantee we are going to see a lot of guys washing their resume with SWA again. With how much United and AA are still hiring. Sucks, but I think it’s just the reality. Maybe not a bad time to get in at United if they really want 25,000+ pilots.
