Agreed about PBS. The pay rate gains, LTD & scope are significant gains for them and I’m genuinely happy for the Spirit pilots.
However I can’t believe they’re going to vote Pref Bid in. Omg!

Kelly has warned his boys ULCC’s are the biggest threat to their business.
Spirit continues to compete and grow in SWA markets.
Why? They’re easy pickings. SWA is no longer an LCC.
They also have no way of raising revenue through ancillary streams.

Is it good compared to the current? Yes. Are there gains made
in areas that were lacking, ABSOLUTELY.
But saying that Spirit pilots “raised the bar/had industry leading airbus rates” is nothing but bovine scatology.
So as much rectal pain as it may cause, PLEASE don’t tow some false line of that the Spirit pilot group has so much good in that regard.
I apologize if the FACTS cause you butthurt/rectal trauma.

Why is this directed towards me? I'm not the one who said anything about having the best rates or whatever it is that was said. Cause me butthurt (since you quoted me)? No butthurt here, all I asked why are you so concerned with what one Spirit pilot said. If you had such a problem, message the guy, there's no need to include others in your obsession waiting for one person to answer you.
I’m very receptive to outside thoughts but please move this little spat you two have to a private message. You are adding nothing at this point except annoyance. Though I’m not a fan of everything in our current contract, a percentage of our pilots put it all on the line to get it. Not one scab. For you to throw darts at them is pretty low.

The purity issue could be remedied easily the company chooses not to.
One thing our line bidding is is a big staffing inflator. We will run with less pilots with pbs. Obviously not less than today because we are growing but less moving forward. That could come back to haunt some individuals one day.
