not when another is waiting for IOE. the seat will fill one way or the other.

Maybe if they weren’t getting poverty wages, they wouldn’t leave.

If the ioe trip is a 3 day trip and on the first leg they get wind of it they won’t boot the fo off ioe delay the flight and deadhead someone else in to an outstation. That sounds like a logistical nightmare not to mention you have to use someone on reserve. They would coordinate someone else waiting for ioe to meet up with the crew either the next day after the overnight or maybe even after the next leg.

Imo they’d be more likely to discontinue training when they can practically swap the fo with someone else. Not at the first instance they caught wind they were leaving.

I know you’re just a few months out of being a regional pilot, but why don’t you calm down, call your union rep, and ask them nicely to explain to you how negotiations work.
