So now that b6 is done whose ready to get displaced again. I know I definitely signed up for this ****show. Sometimes I really wish I had listened to that little bird inside that said this was nothing more than a fly by night operation from the beginning

I'm also excited to have to broker my sick calls and pay for water and snacks ..

God help us if having to pay for M&Ms is something like I complain about. And I don’t think any pilot is paying for water over there.

If you don’t have the stomach to fight Franke for a better deal, maybe you should listen to that voice and MTFO

Haha…or if you consider a bag of M&Ms a “snack.” You are correct. We are not.

What's really going on with the sec19s? Is it just the abusers or idiots that call in sick immediately after being assigned a trip on reserve or something of that nature?

My personal fav are the morons who try to drop a trip repeatedly a month in advance then call in sick 3 hrs before said trip, especially on a holiday. Pure genius!

You left out the vetting of your own sick time but sure selectively respond to things. As well I'm not sure telling people to mtfo is the way to inspire people.

We do not pay for water, cokes, etc..

The section 19’s (I heard through the grapevine) that yes, there was some stupid crap being done by pilots to prompt the hearings. Like I said, just rumor, I don’t know for sure. The union also stepped in and put a stop to the company trying to pull that bs on legitimate sick calls for pilots. But nobody even mentions any of that. It’s just doom and gloom at F9 all the time.🙄🙄🙄

The union has put out some small tidbits that don’t speak highly of management and those section 19s. Most seem unfounded and acted as a scare tactic. On the flip side A recent CP town hall talked in depth about sick calls. It was clear they track everything. Days of the week where most call in, people who call in on only fridays or holidays, they had all kinds of metrics and went in depth.

I believe the truth is somewhere in between. Should we allow one person to call out every holiday and abuse the system and end up forcing reservists to work their holiday? No. Is that their right? Yes. Tough spot if you’re a CP but that’s the job.

As much as I dislike people abusing a system I believe the company went overboard and it was a pretty shallow move. It has accelerated the attrition problem that didn’t need any help accelerating. But the Union has done their job and nobody has been disciplined as far as I know.

Not sure you can't justify anyone calling in sick at anytime period. The rules are literally there to protect the worker. Ask your union.
