Yup it’s kind of sad. For such a large seemingly well run airline they seem to be a little immature at times. But they are Bostons Global Airline of choice so there is that.
The other interesting point is the NEA is so anti competitive that Delta is still able to grow in Boston? How can that be

Exactly. Remember during negotiations, the company was editing any photos with Spirit pilots by “blanking” out our lanyards. The fact the company was having someone take the “ALPA” off the lanyards should say exactly why we wear them
Grow up, wear your lanyards (to those who don’t,) it’s the smallest ask of participation. Last I checked, your sports team won’t be the ones trying to put more money in your pocket

Considering you received a WARN letter and were on the furlough list in 2021 and had your job saved by the same organization you say "F" to, thats quite the statement . Its also insulting to say to the group of pilots who took leave to ensure you kept a paycheck while they believed in the importance of that lanyard and what it stands for. It just tells me that not everyone who was "saved" was worth the effort.
I would like to believe my EIL helped keep a paycheck coming for 2 pilots who actually gave a care about what being a Union is and how critical that association is as we approach JCBA and SLI

Been there. 8.5 years. Worked out pretty well. I don’t have any ill will against ALPA. I appreciate what they do and they’ve even helped me out on one occasion. With that said, they are not as great as they (or most members) think they are.

We've got our own contingent of dudes taking the lanyard off because they are frustrated with some of the union leadership or recent events. The problem is there are only TWO sides to take. You either support the union and push for the policies and/or changes you want to see or you support the company. There is no other option, and simply choosing not to openly support your pilot union is as good as cheerleading the company's side/position.
