Do you have company mx personnel in any other bases? Or is it contract mx everywhere else?

Spirit has a pretty extensive MX network. Spirit staffed stations are:
ACY
FLL
MCO
TPA
MIA
ATL
BWI
LBE
MYR
DTW (hangar-owned)
DFW
IAH (hangar-leased)
ORD
LAS

Why downsize the base with their only owned MX hangar? Seems like DTW has a lot of potential, just trying to understand the reasoning behind displacing crews there.

I think the intent behind the reductions is somewhat misunderstood.
With the opening of ATL and IAH they need to ramp up the manpower fast in order to realize the efficiencies that are needed out of these new domiciles.
DTW, DFW and ORD all have huge populations to fill seats, and I'm sure Spirit and JetBlue appreciate that.
