As far as junior pilots getting their jobs back, yeah that ain't happening. Nobody is getting their job back anytime soon unfortunately...I thought that was very apparent on here, but guess not.
This place will either go under, or merge and at that point the furloughed pilots would all be stapled.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I would usually drop a lot of my schedule and snipe day turns out of open time until I got back up to ALV

agree 100%
just because we can afford a nice car or to live in a nice neighborhood does not mean we are "white collar." our uniforms may include a white shirt, but we are literally blue collar heavy equipment operators. This misconception on the reality of our job contributes to the high ratio of keyboard airline ceos here in the forum and out on the line.

AI isn’t all there yet….. Our job is definitely not white collar. Sure, it’s technical, but we’re definitely manual laboring the plane up into the sky. Also you really can’t be a white collar job if you can be replaced in about 2 hours or less. Not sure why it’s a touchy subject, Blue or white, what matters is how much money you’re making.
Technical, manual labor, easy to replace with someone who spent 4-5 years to become one?

If a welder gets into a situation where he's not sure if he should cut into that structural piece, he's not going to use judgment, he's going to stop and ask his boss, who will call a civil engineer.
As I said, white collar is a bit of a misnomer for us, but Professional is not. Collar color doesn't matter, but professionalism does.

Spirit guys and gals are wondering if they'll have a job by Christmas, and we have people here arguing on a Spirit thread no less whether the profession is white collar, blue collar, brown collar, yellow collar, or just plain old stained collar. Seriously, what's next...... do you people also need to argue about how to wipe your a$$... is it up-down, down-up, or the fire hydrant style bidet? 🤦🏻♂️
