they were the highest paid airbus pilots at one point. They had fantastic reserve rules at one point which they later gave up along with accepting PBS to get a pay raise. They still have some of the best schedule flexibility and work rules for line-holders out of any US carrier, and their x/y list for premium combined with those work rules gives them a lot of power to move their schedule around, work as much or as little as they want, and much more opportunities for premium.

Not a particularly good contract by industry standards. Yes there have been ups and downs over the years but I'm talking about 2025.

Highest paid Airbus pilots at one point, that’s hilarious. For the past decade or more, Spirit has consistently paid the least for the A320, period. The 401k contributions have also been lower, because it was baked into their business model: cheap labor, growth, cheap labor, more growth, and cheap fares. Sure, you could drop to zero and pick up open time, but the same can be done at most airlines if you put in the effort. Accepting the lowest pay in the industry for decades was never a good deal.

Good luck at JB, I know you must be incredibly stressed with how poor your airline is doing but dont disparage NK pilots and their contract. NK Pilots went on Strike, you guys took how many times to vote in a Union?

this is completely wrong. You absolutely can not Drop down to zero ANYWHERE as easily as you could at Nk, you could spend all day, everyday trying to drop at AA, UAL & DAL and some months it just isnt possible.
