I agree.... Just curious: does anyone know what is the record for the fastest negotiation of an ALPA CBA in recent years?

....and you've heard this idea floated DIRECTLY from said negotiator?

Colgan/Mesaba/Pinnacle had a TA on their JCBA in like 4 months.

But this isnt a factor of ALPA, and more so the situation at the airline at that time. A BK was filed a year later as well...

Amazing how fast it can happen if the company reps are motivated.

I would agree to a two year extension with just an adjusted pay scale to match industry average if it was just a quick gimme to mitigate attrition and to keep attracting talent while they simultaneously negotiate terms for a new deal.

Of course that will never happen

I have heard specifics from people who all got it directly from a rep. These folks are friends with said rep.

I heard directly from the mec chairman that it is a false rumor. Interesting to find out which is true

I dont think I could vote for any 2 year extension that is industry average while our 401k, LTD, scope all remains below average.

Also, we need to view our wages based on a fleet that averages 198 seats per plane, and no longer 161 seats per plane, because that will be the situation in this next contract duration.

Essentially what I meant was a pay bump as we go through the negotiation process.

Haha, well yeah. "Hey guys, we are going to give you more money as we negotiate section 6"

Sounds good to me..

Would probably be the only way they get a yes to that proposal and mitigate an exodus.
