Ok I finally had to jump in, new signups on here of Jul 15 says one thing, "angry losers", grow up, move one, Allegenny and Midwest express is long past 6 feet under, the new, the young, the hopefully even keeled have spoken and decided the future for Spirit pilots. Go and enjoy your cowboy boots and cigarettes as well as your crab fishing, but let people with more than the GED handle our futures. I don't believe in any one person making our future contract, I believe in the engagement of all our pilots dictating our careers.

I really have no idea how you guys went on strike. Can't say I've seen a group as fractured as this one. I had no idea this was even happening. I still don't even know what article 8 is. Ever since the recall of the last chairman there has been this constant back and forth of new gaurd vs old guard. You guys do know that these are all unpaid positions, right?

Unpaid? Hardly, wait till you see all the budgets and trip drops since 2010 when the old MEC stopped following the bylaws and publishing it. These guys were paid handsomely and got holidays off. I guess word is already getting out on how much or how little some of them worked for us. Paul H, got a sweet payday last year from our dues, 77k I believe? There is almost 1300 of us now, and the same 10 names keep trying to hold us back, this takes up so much time and resource fighting these same individuals each week. I want a contract yesterday, but these few people constantly try to drag down anyone that is not in lock step with their hard core socialist union mentality.
This constant power grab is getting tiresome to the rest of us. I don't see the point of bickering over being a MEC officer or a representative. Those people don't have power over anything and are working for free. I'm glad we have people with a drive to serve but fighting over it seems silly. The line pilots have all the power. If you crave power then bid your line, fly your line, attend the meetings, and vote.
