The retirement numbers alone at the legacies make me question why anyone younger than 40 would stay at NK and leave so much $$$$ on the table. I believe we will be lucky to see VX or Jetblue rates in this next contract. Anyone can do the math. Okay. Keep telling yourself it's all about the "quality of life".

I implore anyone senior to me to apply and go to the legacies! You're losing out on higher hourly pay rates, higher 401K contributions and the ability to fly widebodies!

Especially FLL CAs! Why are you still here, it's an easy commute to ATL/EWR/JFK!

Recently I have flown with the #1 and #2 captains, in the same week, on JA's out of my base. The phone calls are making it to the top of the list in all seats and more than once from other bases. Does the name "Kiwi" ring a bell?
Ahh yes kiwi, I stand corrected. She's relentless..

Is say the only FLL captains that would possibly leave already have numbers at American and would go back with a few thousand new hires below them. They also have another two years to decide. Most of the other FLL captains probably couldn't leave even if they wanted to.

I don't really have to tell myself anything, lol. You, me, anyone can either stay or go, I don't care. I do find it funny when guys are like," if you're younger than blah blah you should leave", yet they've been here through 4-5 major hiring cycles and stayed here, stayed here when this place paid peanuts mind you.

Anyway, you plan on leaving?, (you can PM if ya want)

Found this, "keep telling yourself it's about the QOL,"

Could it be better? Of course! Could I be in a worse place? Hell Yes! Just like I tell people who want to fly on Spirit to those that want to work here: "It's not for everyone". I take it all on face value and appreciate what's here now without worrying too much about the future. Especially since I'm much closer to the end than the beginning!

Oh no. I'm not going any where Joey! I'm too old and this is my last rodeo. I've done my time at the legacies (16 years). Just looking to guide some more senior to me to truly experience all this great profession has to offer. So yes, for me it's probably the only life left in this profession. Don't get me wrong, I am still grateful to be at NK. I just hope not too many pilots here are living in "mambi pami" land thinking this contract will bring a windfall of goodies to the NK pilot group without giving up other goodies.

Horrible album by Pink Floyd. And that poem sucked as well.
