Yep! From the Sept 18 Update, "Your negotiators will continue to bargain for improvements until we and our professional ALPA negotiators feel there are no further gains available. Rest assured, a TA will not be presented to the membership for ratification without the unanimous support of the Negotiating Committee and the MEC."

Notice that they don't even claim to be attempting to achieve survey goals, which relieves them of the task of claiming the achieved said goals. They stated that they will negotiate until they FEEL no further gains are available.

Standing by for a snide Bone Daddys remark.

Edit: Bone Daddys comment not directed at Ram

But we WILL know how well the NC did Ram! I refer you to their statement again.
"Your negotiators will continue to bargain for improvements until we and our professional ALPA negotiators feel there are no further gains available. Rest assured, a TA will not be presented to the membership for ratification without the unanimous support of the Negotiating Committee and the MEC. It must be the right deal for the Spirit pilots. We thank you for staying engaged and informed throughout this process."

They won't put it out until it is "the right deal for the Spirit Pilots", therefore we must know that they achieved the survey goals, right?

All is well, All is well. They got it, no need for concern.

One more point if I may. A TA will not be presented with out unanimous support. Maybe that's why it's been promised for three weeks to insiders but still hasn't seen the light of day. I wonder which one is holding out?

This is true. I guess membership ratification is just a formality then too since they know what the right deal is. Sounds like an offer we can't refuse
On a separate topic, did they ever update the policy manual to include that deal about requiring a membership vote on all matters that effect pay etc? That whole thing was kind of like a big foot sighting. I heard a lot about it but never actually saw it myself.

The same professional negotiator foretold of terrible doom if we didn't take the last deal on the first round too. Oh, and let's not forget how he stuck his head in the sand re: public offering. Assured us there was no plans for the company to go public and therefore NO STOCK FOR YOU!!

You guys told the group, "fill out surveys, tell us what you want", now you're saying that you'll negotiate til you feel like you're done. Either tell us that you're going for the best - as in "trust us" - or keep going until you get what we asked for in the surveys. If not, resign and let someone else try their hand at getting what the pilots want. There has been a tremendous amount of infighting and backstabbing over who sits on the Negotiation Committee, you guys fought hard to keep your team in place, you owe it to the pilot group to produce.
Two Article 8 hearings over MEC/NC control took place, this was important enough to you to try that in an attempt to maintain control, so produce already.

Um... when the objective is reached?
I would think that would be in negotiating 101, or at least covered at alpa negotiating day camp. Nah, check that, it's just common sense.

Not to get in a ****ng match with you ram, and not to justify an easy out from negotiations, but if the objective isn't met? How long are we all willing to go w/o a contract, because a release this time may be a little difficult.

On another note I agree that with a TA I would like to see the answers on the surveys.

This is exactly the type of thinking the company is counting on, and the reason we may never see industry standard anything. The company delays a while and enough of us are willing to accept an excrement sandwich now, vs holding out. Add a five year CBA term, plus a couple more years of negotiating ending again in capitulation... rinse repeat. If we never make a stand, we never make gains, and we will keep eating $hit sandwiches.
