Do we need 4 days off between training and a trip pairing? I feel like I didn't have that last year

No we do not. "to the maximum extent possible" also applies to 4 days off. Do not expect it after training.

Less than 4 only applies for transition.

The company wants the extra 2 days, I'd be willing to
split it with them. I can't remember the last time I didn't
have a min day off line. I would like to see the mec challenge the crew room as a suitable training facility with all the noise and madness going on there.

Welcome new guys to NK style scare tactics. One threat and we fold like a cheap suit... every time. They keep doing it, mec keeps backing it, we keep falling for it. Repeat.

Hasn't it already been established that there are in fact approved training classrooms in each base?

why not counter the offer not changing anything except making it effective when our new contract is signed. The company has said they want to get a new contract done quick, this will just be another incentive. The offer isn't unfair but online training is a concession with our current contract, maybe combined with the next one it wont be

Agree 100% A yellow stripe isn't painted on my back. So I vote no and if the threats turn real then there is the grievance process.

We don't need 4 days off between training, just some food for thought

Thank you Virgin America! That'll help our negotiations big time.
