Don't mind all the negative stuff on here. I don't work for Spirit but from what I've heard be yourself and you'll be fine. If you've been selected for an interview they want to hire you on. Check out https://www.aviationinterviews.com
We all make decisions that are good for our QOL and for our familes. If Spirit is a good fit, go down there, interview and enjoy the ride.

Interesting read on Spirit airlines.
According to some the "Southwest Effect" has been replaced by the "Spirit Effect".
Has "The Spirit Effect" Replaced " The Southwest Effect?" - Airchive

Congrats on the job and welcome aboard. You'll soon find that it's the same six guys from NK posting here. A few of them have their heads in the right place but they're a negative fu@king drain on your life. Limit your time here and stay off the Whatsapp for each base.
Our first year sucks and second year isn't much better. But, we'll either get a decent contract here or you'll be in a better position to move on with the Airbus type.

I applied today and received the assessment link shortly after. Is this the norm? Also, I'm unable to make it to the September job fair. I'll go to the next one if I don't receive a call by then.
How likely am I to receive a call with 3000TT 700 TPIC Current 121

The training is 3/4 bad. When you get to the instructors on the seniority list in the SIM for the last 1/4 it's much better. IMO we need at least one more sim. You see a V1 cut for the first time in the last sim and then take the type the next if I remember correctly.
Training is about 2 months including OE. First two weeks are 6 ten hour days of misery. After that your schedule is more staggered. No positive space home until after the type. You will get a single occupancy hotel for the duration.
They are now trying to coerce new hires into training in the middle of the night "to get done quicker". You DO NOT have to train at those time slots. The contract states it's volunteer only. IMO you shouldn't but it's up to you.
Training pay is a complete joke. $1700 gross until you get off OE. No health insurance for 90 days. *** right? If they stallyou out past 90 days (I think it's 90) and it's not your fault do to retrains you start getting guarantee at that point.
