The question is are the Alpa reps who take these new guys out to dinner telling them that they should not be doing 2am sims? What is Alpa doing to prevent this? A cease and desist order to the company?

Cease and desist from what? There is nothing in the contract that says no training will take place between 12-5. It is poorly written language much like the 5 days off.
I hope whoever writes the contract language for the next contract does a better job because we have some major lapses in the current agreement.

Looks like the demand for 100% retro pay is real! Sign and share!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure.

Probably not less than five days, probably not more than five years.

Not exactly. It seems to take somewhere around 6 weeks to get through the CASS process (longer if you worked for one of the vindictive regionals). If you get a CJO and a class date two weeks later. Congrats, take it, but you probably won't be in CASS until near the end of training. If you get a class date a month in a half later you will probably be in CASS by the end if week 2.

Its always important, for just about any airline.

But who knows with what we are doing with hiring these days...they are trying to fill 30+ seats a month now with $38 an hour pay....something about beggars and choosers comes to mind...

Is there a big difference to them if it's a current Spirit pilot or a regional guy?

Well, I would assume that a LOR from a current Spirit pilot would hold more weight than one from another. I would also suppose a LOR from another airline pilot is worth more than no LOR at all.

Always submit as any LOR as you can, let them sort out the importance and "scoring" of each
