Less than Virgin. (Not an insult to the Virgin guys but we definitely would not be helping the industry).

Perhaps they're just putting a "good faith" nod towards the NLRB to ensure that there is no release to self help imminent and perhaps one or two more summers of money will reign upon mgmt before the economy turns just in time for this proposal to seem ok since, "look UAL is furloughing".
Best of luck!
I think you are right. All this was just a prelude for section 6. I dunno what the f I was even thinking being optimistic here. I guess it is easy to believe what you want to believe.

- pay rates = no vote
- retirement = *** is that? 1-4%? no vote
- transition going away = for me a no vote for sure. One day I will be senior in my base and I plan on working that
- 15 year scale... f that
... and nothing about trip averaging and guarantees and you can go on and on and on...

Back to reality... I just hope we will still get released in 5 years.

Oh come on guys.....

How are we supposed to return value to the Shareholders? This is the "quid" for the pro quo, remember? Frankly, you don't want to see the rates that we had prior to the bad weather in the summer.....

Don't forget the free high fives!

Hate to say I told you so, alright. Now can we get militant? There is no difference in who runs this company since 2010, look no further than the BOD and CEO, Bendo just gets direction from them. You think BBB and Fornaro are going to give you anything without true labor strife or NMB intervention? Remember our COO has left a trail of labor strife at any airline he was involved in, there is no mr. nice guy. NWA, Comair, Frontier, etc. Since we know there is no "goodwill" from the meltdown, can we get our quid now????

Why does the NC send out a pay proposal from the company and only compare two non-union, non-ALPA negotiated pay rates of airlines against ours? No offense but we are not in the same realm of profitability nor ALPA previous negotiated contract status. We need to compare to the entire ALPA group!
