I'm thinking you may be right. I think all along management went in to these negotiations knowing they weren't giving up nothing and that we could keep this contract going for five, six, seven more years like the stewardesses. There's no incentive on their part but to keep raking in the cash and keeping us as the cheap help.

Oh you can't keep the open time wh0res from spreadin' their legs. If that's our strategy, it's failed before it started.

My opinion is the company dragged this out as long as possible playing nice. They got to delay sec 6 for five months. Real negotiations start next time, and it starts from scratch (if the mec is finally ditching this focused negotiating BS)

With any luck, the NC will immediately start educating their company counterparts on the definition of the word RETRO and the importance of August 1, 2015.

What a total disappointment. Even at DOS+4 a majority of the Captain scale doesn't even equal JetBlue's current rates. It would be a big NO from me.

The pay scales even at DOS + 4 are still too steep. From a 2nd year JB Capt to a maxed out Capt is a 13.4% increase. On the proposed Spirit scale it is almost a 36% increase. No Legacy has more than 11% from a junior to senior Capt.

Last time we negotiated 4 years and captains got $3,000 retro pay (called a signing bonus). Flight attendants have been negotiating since 2007 (8 years). I know most pilots won't be happy if negotiations are still ongoing in 2023.
