It does not mean smaller raises at the top. Parity from the top to bottom. Nobody on our list should take it in the shorts for others on the list. But the rates, and by extension, the slope, need to be in line with the industry. Anything less, and we just "fooked" ourselves.

Believe the response would be the pie is only so big. Because there are so many pilots in the lower end they will say that it's enormously expensive to bring the lower ones up and much cheaper to push the top rates up where we will all eventually be.

That is not my position at all I agree 100% with what you are saying but I'd imagine that's how the Nc is going to respond

The railroads, for whom the RLA was written, negotiate industry wide rates. Why can't we?

No need to worry about any of this...We aren't getting sh*t from these people unless a rls comes our way...Which isn't going to happen...We have zero leverage...

Why do you think rls not going to happen? Sure, not tomorrow, but a couple years, why not?

Who says how big the pie is? Should be market rates for a320/321 pilots period. Mgmt shouldn't tell you to work for less so they can make more profits or sell tickets for less. Do they pay less for fuel since they are a LCC?

Exactly why those comments should not be tolerated from our OWN NC. Statements like that make it sound like Junior guys are trying to take money out of the pockets of the senior guys. This is not true. The fact that the bottom of the "slope" guys would be seeking a higher dollar amount increase than the top of the pay scale is just a result of the mathematics involved in how severely lacking our pay is and how out of the ordinary our pay slope is. Some longevities are just more severely lacking than others.

There is no pie.

Interesting question. I have no idea about railroads, but I wonder if they have a national seniority system or anything that would allow national rates.
