This guy is gonna eat his words...
I hope this is a wake up call for those of you who thought it wasn't that dire a situation yet...this clown is just another minion of the board who gets manipulated. He thinks absolutely Ning of you or the livelihood of your family. there is only one way to voice our opinion to this waste of a human being. Take control of your jet and your crew, All we should be able to promise management at this point is safe passage from point A to point B for our passengers... Nothing more

This CEO remind me of my kid, when I ask her why she didn't get a good grade, she compares herself with the weakest kids in her classroom, and says, I'm not the only one, who gets bad grades! Good excuse!!! We've should of brought in the JetBlue/Southwest CEO, not AirTran's, which was a crappy airline back then! This airline is defiantly cash driven, and has little respect for it's employees' satisfaction. First thing this CEO has to do, is to see the employees as an asset to the airline, and not putting them in "Low Tiered" category, he needs to realize the airline reputation is earned by it's employees, they are the one, who run the show. "you beat up your employees, they'll beat up your customers". It's that simple! Airline is going to lose a lot of business, because of their bad reputation. Pretty soon, nobody would want to fly Spirit. The airline doesn't even offers free coffee in their crewrooms, something that even cheap regionals offer to their employees.
Dear CEO, ULCC, doesn't mean being cheap to your employees, please learn that from Southwest! When you're not offering a lot to your customers, you had to offer exceptional customer service to not end up in the bottom of worst airlines list, so please start a fair compensation as soon as you could!
ULCC applies to passengers, not employees! Also, it's a great idea for our CEO to make a trip to JetBlues' training center, and after that, set up some real meaningful core values for the airline to follow.
Spirit still got a lot of potential, it just need a real leadership!

More half truths spewed by the NKS resident troll. Remind everyone at this airline, wasn't it you who quit on the pilot group when you were part of the MEC? Are you not aware of your reputation at this airline? Does your failure of leadership make it into the speeches you give at Bone Daddy's?
If you want to spew this crap to under-informed new FOs while you act as a de facto community agitator down in DFW by all means, but please everyone else, contact your status reps, make up your own mind and for god sake if you're not happy with their representation don't try and start your own LEC, recall them.

I ask you, which of the two options leads to unity and strength? Recalling Status reps? or having a larger, more diverse Master Council?
If anyone truly thinks recalls are in any way anything but a last resort under the ALPA system, then that person is wrong.
Council 77 is two domiciles divided by more than 1100 miles. Spirit is the exception, not the rule, regarding Locals. Most all, non fee for departure pilot groups, have union Locals at all domiciles.
Ralph appears to be one of the 18 guys who is afraid that establishing a Local in DFW might encourage the members of ACY and ORD to also ask for LOCAL representation.
Ralph, this isn't about MEC politics, it's about pilots having the ability to attend LOCAL meetings in which they are able to exercise their Constitutional rights by directing their Local Representatives. Besides, you might be surprised, whomever gets elected in DFW might just ally themselves with 18, you just never know about these things.

Yawn. Council in-fighting and intrigue, he said, she said, blah, blah, blah. Are we in the airline industry or on an episode of Kardashians? Let's stand together to get a contract, then you guys can go back to your personal squabbles.

This my friends is the perfect example of why our union has been so ineffective these past few years. Ralph Wiggums, either a Council18 rep or member, would rather see the DFW pilots recall the 77 reps who previously won an honest election, than he would see the MEC establish a Local in DFW. In case anyone has forgotten, last year (July) Council 18 filed Article Eight charges against the sitting FO Rep from 77 and the sitting FO Rep from 109 in an attempt to change the power structure of the Spirit MEC. This current call for "contact your status reps, make up your own mind and for god sake if you're not happy with their representation don't try and start your own LEC, recall them." has little to do with the attempt to gain Local representation for DFW and much to do with an underhanded attempt to foment a recall in LAS. Think about it!

Ive been here longer than you have and I was around to watch you quit on the MEC one time. I don't want to see it happen again if you run for office. Send me a message if you have a DTW layover I would be more than happy to hash this out in person.
In the mean time - Fornaro, Jyri and Bendo can all suck it. Beg all you want for on time performance and free smiles you all are incapable of effective leadership. that's why you're part of Spirit management in the first place. This entire pilot group can't wait for the next meltdown when you come begging for mercy and get jack $h*t.
