Spirit of NKS, Part II

I've let my rep know. And you're one hundred percent correct, the g that will bring management to the table for serious negotiations is gonna be the threat of a strike. That's it. Anything else and we're just fooling ourselves and playing right into their hands. Cmon Union, get this strike vote going. Show the company we are serious about getting a contract that reflects how successful this airline has become.
Its easy to say you're committed by "pressing 1" on a phone voting system for a strike vote; actually getting off our behinds and doing something about it speaks much louder and shows which pilots talk the talk and which walk the walk.
Rainbows...you going to be there? In Houston?

Well our SPSC is setting up an event in IAH to show how serious we are to our shareholders and executives. Even the hotel rooms are paid for.

IMO we have been slow to make the investment community aware of what our position is. It is clear listening to the last couple of earnings calls that the investors have no clue how ****ed off we really are. The picketing is a step in the right direction.

Exactly. Regardless of how effective this event will be I think the more we can get to show the better. I'm not going to sit around complaining on a web board or complaining in the cockpit while others are out fighting for me. I bid for the Houston event off and I hope to see many there.
Ill see you there, man.

Actions speak louder than words! I'll be there. We better have at least 50min guys show up, I'd love to see over 100! Free rooms, free food and beverages the night before.. No excuses!
You can still attend to show solidarity even if you're not a shareholder!!!!

First I totally agree with any action that brings us together as a group to unify against management but if you really think that the few investors that show up in Houston is going to be so moved by some pilots in the next conference room you are fooling yourselves. For the record, I plan on being there too but Texas is a very restrictive state against labor and there is only so much we can do. I think it is great that we have started to come together on this and we, for the most part, are fired up! Why not keep it going?! I am not saying strike today. I am saying lets get the plans and the dialogue started now to show management we are serious. The only thing that really means anything to the company is a direct impact on operations. Do you all really think that the ALPA lawyers, the NC, GH and anyone else that does not fly a regular line like the rest of us has the same sense of urgency that we have?? Management is doing exactly what the want, drag it out and wait for the economy to drop then say "we can't afford it" or merge us then pit us against another pilot group for a few more years. It's time to email your reps, spread the word to who you are flying with to do the same which is DEMAND proactive measures to force the company to get serious!! See you in Houston😡

I've heard that it might not be a good idea for probationary FO's to picket since we don't have full union protections yet. Does that seem to be the consensus?
