Question for the Open Time Monitors:

I routinely try to get certain days off, consequently I will drop trips in initial open time, but sometimes will be unable to pick up or trade to get back to my original line value, so I will pick up (daily) open time to get back to my line value (usually around 70 hours). Ultimately, my question is will I be added to some list even though I fly my total line value? It seems net zero to me.

What list are you afraid of? It's well within your contractual rights to pickup swap drop etc. They can make all the lists they want, but as long as what you did is legal and contractually compliant, then all they can do is give you a dirty look.

We both know it, we had our chance 6 years ago (were you here?) every pilot walked and the company knows that we will totally shut this place down if given the opportunity. They will play by rules that you so covet and drag this out for for the next 10 years because they CAN. As far as ALPA and the NC goes they work for me,... I don't work for them and if they get pi$$ed off that's too bad. We had an opportunity to accomplish more in one week than the NC could do in 5 years but fear and greed (not common sense!) won over. It seems we have too many greedy little Boy Scouts working here, it really makes me want to puke!
I agree we could have done more in one week than the NC could have done in 5 years.

That, and of course ALPA FLOOR could wave his rolled up rap sheet at him.

That's just it, as again, it is net zero, I am just curious how someone would rationalize their negative judgement of me for ultimately flying line value (or less) each month.

Fly safe, fly the contract!

For all of the Pro Boners out there. IDK how y'all do it on your Off days. I enjoy myself way too much while away. Thanks for helping out the Bendo and Bob show for the last week. They'll get an easy pass next time they've gotta speak to the board and investors. Maybe all of this will get addressed when all of us are down in Houston fighting for the entire group and not just ourselves. High Five!

Sweet, double pay for a trip on scheduling's terms when if we all held out during the summer crunch we'd have a contract in short order since this company staffs based on us picking up during transition and meltdowns.

Industry standard pay would have most of the group making double the entire month on the line they bid not just one trip as race to the airport when scheduling calls.

If we all had a little restraint just during summer especially during transition weeks this place would crumble and we'd have a RATIFIABLE TA in short order.
