Or how a about the genius that re wrote the pneumatic start procedures. After starting #2 at the gate. You now taxi out without the yellow pump running. Your whole career riding on the #2 engine driving hydraulic pump keeping your brakes and steering going till you cross bleed start #1. Brilliant.
My experience is that unless Jyri or someone in the inner core of the training department comes up with it, they pretend it isn't an issue.

When we first got the Airbus. We used to have a single engine procedure. We started #2 first and taxi with the yellow electric pump as a backup. That procedure is straight from the Airbus AFM.

Ok. So your hopes and dreams of the future are riding on an accumulator that won't steer. But hey, you can differential brake around F/N taxing out to 28C at ORD.

Next time your secured on the chocks right after shutdown. Release the park brake and jam on the toe brakes a few times. Especially one of the older jets. See how long the accumulator holds pressure. Then ask yourself. Do you really want to be taxing around a major airport during a push, in snow, fatigued, on one hydraulic pump? For a company that puts cost above all else???

If you're down to the accumulator the last thing you want to do is hit the brakes several times. One smooth application should stop the jet then set the PB.

Why would you be taxing around fatigued? Or single engine in snow for that matter? If you're that worried about it start them both every time, nobody said you can't.

Why are you taxing around on engine 2 single engine? Our manuals prohibit this. You are to start engine one after push back or you are allowed to taxi only to get to a suitable place to start engine one.
